Blue Castle Waste observes the following holidays so our drivers and team can spend them with their families. There is no collection on these days.
How Holiday Collection Works
If your service day falls on a holiday, leave your trash cans out and we’ll pick them up the next day.
- Only the holiday’s route moves. If the holiday is on Monday, Monday pickups are collected on Tuesday, and Tuesday through Friday pickups stay on their normal days.
- If the holiday is on a Friday, Friday pickups are collected on Saturday.
- Thanksgiving week: we’re closed Thursday and Friday, so both Thursday and Friday pickups are collected on Saturday.
- When a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, collection isn’t affected.
- Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve are regular collection days.

Holiday Tips
- Have your carts at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on your regular day, and leave them out until they’re emptied. For best results, set them out the night before.
- Holidays mean extra trash. Bag everything. If all the bags don’t fit in the cart, stick them next to the cart and we’ll grab it.
- Break down holiday boxes and flatten them so they fit in your recycling cart or stack next to cart.
- Severe winter weather can also delay collection. We’ll post updates on our website and notify you by text or email.
